About Us
General Insurance Ltd is a full-service professional insurance brokerage providing a personalised service to a select number of clients.
Our service covers all lines of Commercial & Domestic insurance.
We work with a customer base of quality clients who value service and advice, and who desire a proper business relationship with their broker and advisor.
The insurance market has become more challenging for insurers and customers alike, and with new risks emerging as international trade and l. T. complexity increases, its become more important than ever for brokers and advisors to truly understand their clients businesses, their exposures, and their expectations. As a result, General Insurance was founded to bring back the old values of personal service, and client engagement.
We are based in Christchurch and primarily serve the wider Canterbury region, however we do travel further afield and throughout New Zealand to ensure we understand our clients individual circumstances. We are limited only by what travel or technology allow.
With access to the full market of major New Zealand insurers, Specialist & Niche insurers, and arrangements with overseas facilities (such as Lloyds) where appropriate, we are able to support those brands that operate internationally, as well as our local and national clients.
The insurance market is constantly evolving with new suppliers, products and covers in response to changing business environments, risk exposures, and international events. We strive to keep abreast of the evolving market and share that knowledge and advice with our clients and partners.
In addition to being a member of IBANZ in New Zealand, General Insurance Ltd is affiliated with ASX listed Steadfast Group (ASX—SDF), ensuring the support and negotiation power of established and internationally recognised insurance brands.
